These casks were used only once, as their aromas and flavours were released quickly, making them excellent containers for ageing single malt whisky and rum. Some of the world’s leading cigar manufacturers have developed a unique method of ageing and fermenting their specially selected tobacco leaves in these Bourbon oak casks. Emperor Celebration
Emperor Celebration is a blend of a 10-year-old Mauritian rum and a 22-year-old Jamaican rum, which were first aged in French and American oak casks respectively.
After this period of over-ageing, it was then matured for a further 6 months in ‘Les Saintes Claires’ casks from the Albert Mann estate.
